Hello, my name is Samia. I am a certified tour guide and heritage interpreter. I am originally from Zagreb, Croatia where I guide and share the cultural richness of my hometown.

I have had the privilege of working with diverse audiences, in several languages, and constantly enriching my practice with new encounters and experiences.

Since 2016, my professional career has taken on a new dimension, fueled by my involvement in numerous European heritage interpretation projects. The term “interpretation” resonates for me far beyond simple transmission: it is about unveiling deeper meanings, bringing out the hidden substance of cultural and historical phenomena.

Having lived in Zagreb for all of my life, I’ve been working in the inbound tourism sector for over twenty-three years. Sharing knowledge and experience is at the heart of my commitment, and it was only natural that in January 2020 I became a certified trainer of guide-interpreters by Interpret Europe, the European Association for Heritage Interpretation.

My main passions? Human encounters, cultural discovery, and the transmission of heritage, whether near or far, in all its diversity and depth.

Each time we're travelling in a new city / country, we're looking for a guided tour in French in order to fully understand the culture. On our last day, we made a quick call to Samia for a walking tour of Zagreb and she was at our hotel reception within two hours!Samia knows Zagreb inside out and you can absolutely ask her anything about the history and culture, current political conditions, cuisine, local recommendations - as I said anything.Our walking tour covered the lower town, upper town and all the important landmarks in the city. We didn't mind walking in the sweltering heat as Samia kept us engrossed with local nuggets of information.If you take her trip, do not forget to ask for local recommendations for beer and wine bars.

WWII tour of Zagreb
Wonderful, detailed and very exciting tour by a skilled and knowlegeable guide Samia.Whoever is interested in more than just a regular tour should book her ASAP.I liked the tour so much that i booked another one for my 13year old and she listened carefully for full 90min. I will book her for sure again.
