From Zagreb it takes approximately 2 hours by car to arrive to the Plitvice Lakes. On the way we will stop at the Rastoke village, called also „small Plitvice Lakes“. Rastoke near Slunj are in fact a beautiful sightseeing spot where the little river Slunjčica drops into the Korana River. The Korana River originates a few kilometers to the south, in a canyon that is part of the lower lakes of the Plitvice National Park. Rastoke is also a good example of the traditions you can witness there: the wooden architecture, the way of life and traditional economy concentrated around water mills.

The breathtaking sounds, colors and air of the Plitvice Lakes offers a unique way to recharge your health and spirit, expose yourself to the extraordinary beauty of the preserved forests, waters, lakes and waterfalls, to the air so pure you will take it’s aroma with you forever. After visiting the lakes we can stop for lunch in one of regional inns or restaurants.

For nature lovers if you really want to enjoy the National Park you should avoid the summer season when the crowds are incredible. For real active and green travelers, count to stay in the region for a few days because the wider area around the park is directly connected to the beautiful National Park Una in Bosnia and Herzegovina which guarantees an adventure holiday.
